Pins incorporating a crescent moon and flowers or grapes were popular love tokens during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Such pins were referred to as "honeymoon" pins -- the flowers represented the nectar (honey) and the crescent symbolized the moon.

This pin, a lovely example of an early 20th century honeymoon jewelry, features an iridescent pink flower with a post set pearl accent. The pin is marked for 14k gold and also bears the maker's mark for the renowned Krementz & Co. of Newark, NJ.

The brooch measures 0.5 inches from top to bottom by 1.5 inches wide, and it is in good condition with a small bit of enamel loss to the periphery of the petals.
